GARBAGE MAN FULL
We no longer accept plastic grocery/retail bags. The Garbage Man Standard Edition is a 9.5 X 12.5 Full Color approximately 170-page hardcover book.
Caps, lids, and labels DO NOT need to be removed. Look at the bottom of the container to see what # it is. Plastics #1, #2 & #5 – Empty containers only.Kitchen cookware, steel, aluminum, & tin cans – Metal pots, pans, utensils, & tin.Newspaper – Remove bags, strings, & rubber bands.Magazines, catalogs, junk mail, & office paper – All types and sizes, envelopes, flyers, brochures, postcards, etc.NO wax coated cardboard or paperboard and NO pizza boxes. Cardboard, paperboard, & paper bags – Flatten cardboard & cut into pieces.Here is a list of acceptable items for recycling:Īll items should be placed loose in the cart Recycle should be placed at the curb the night before along with the trash as it IS a separate truck and separate route. Please refer to the yard waste calendar for the pickup days for recycle.
Recycle is picked up every other week opposite yard waste. Recycle is now $20.00 per quarter using OUR 95 gallon cart. Brooklyn was very quiet in the car on the way to the daycare, and when her mom asked her if she was ok, she said, “Mommy, I’m so happy.We are no longer using bags for recycle as we can no longer get them. The man got back into his truck and the mother and daughter went on with their day. I can’t believe that I never got his name, so for now he will continue to be “our favorite awesome smiley garbage man”. He said he doesn’t have any kids of his own, but he mentors several children and just loves them. He said that he has a meeting every Thursday morning and always tries to get out of there in a hurry so that he can make sure to see us every week. Then… (melt my heart)… he explained that he looks forward to seeing us every Thursday as well. I explained to him that he makes our day every Thursday, and we really appreciate the honking and waving, and how special of a day it is for us. Through the process we also aim to improve the working environment and socioeconomic position of the system by inspiring communities and collaborating with agencies. The girl was speechless, her mom said in the Facebook post:īrooklyn was instantly speechless as she handed him the cupcake. GARBAGE MAN DRIVER
When the garbage truck driver saw them he got out and introduced himself. She waited near the home with her mom to meet him. She made a little gift for him – a cupcake that she wrapped herself. Every time she missed him driving by, her mom would follow the truck in the neighborhood to make sure they exchanged waves.įinally, one Thursday, just on time for her birthday Brooklyn got to meet the man. The driver would honk and wave right back with a big smile. The city put up a post with the mother’s story about the friendship on its official Facebook page and the beautiful smiles of the two are now going viral nationwide.īrooklyn lives in Bloomington, IL and always waved at the garbage man when his truck stopped by the house on Thursdays.
